What elements should you include in your Corporate Social Responsibility Programme?
Elements of CSR
There are three broad aspects of a comprehensive Corporate Social Responsibility programme:
- Concerns internal to the organisation, such as:
- Values that underpin business strategies and policies
- Management and welfare of Staff
- Occupational health and safety
- Engagement with Shareholders
- Local concerns external to the organisation, such as:
- Relationships with Customers and Suppliers
- Interaction with the local Community
- Support of businesses, charities, local authorities and others to improve social conditions
- Wider concerns external to the organisation, such as:
- Environmental protection and global warming
- Human rights
- Health, safety and welfare of workers in supplier companies, wherever they are located
Your CSR
There are many approaches you can take to developing your Corporate Social Responsibility Programme.
Some organisations prefer a piecemeal approach, concentrating on a few priority areas at a time.
Others like to start with the big picture, even if it may take months or more to fill in the detail.
Whatever approach, we can help you do it better. Read more about Our Strategy, which is based on over 20 years consultancy experience in related fields:
